SUMMER 2008

July 4th Week was celebrated at the Pacific Beach Resort with the family. We also had our niece Daisy and her son Roman (7yrs) join us at the beach for a kool week together. The flew in from Atlanta, Georgia.

We took our grandson Joseph and Isaiah down with us too. Roman, Joseph and Isaiah became best buds and were nicknamed "The Three Amigoes". Caroline and Justin came down the end of the week to celebrate with us.



We went swimming at the spa in town, went to the Indian reservations to have a yummy salmon lunch ,we got to watch some great fireworks on the beach, walked the rain forest, shopped in Ocean Shores, cooked some great food, watched movies and went to the beach. Yon also took Daisy and Roman and the boys to the fish hatchery nearby. They really enjoyed it.


Justin cooked out some awesome ribs for us while there. He loves to barbeque! It was another great 4th celebrated at the beach along with the Woodhouse Family and our guests from out of town.




Then we came back home and Daisy and Roman got to hang out at our house for several days before they had to fly back home. We also got to Pike Place Market in Seattle for Daisy to show Roman how fish are thrown.

Then about two weeks after they left, my big sister Alba Jennings came by way of Canada to visit with us for awhile. She was on a trip with freinds and ended the trip in Seattle and I picked her up at the airport. We kept busy the whole time she was visiting. We were either going to the Tuesday farmers market each week hunting great veggies and fruit to eat, or going to second hand shops as time permitted. We also took a 4 day trip back down to the Pacific Beach . We said in a suite there that was really fun and kool on the inside. We had all the luxuries of home. I fell in love with the cute mini fridge that had two doors to it. It had its own little freezer and looked like a regular fridge but just small. We ate breakfast in and ate dinners out. We also brought down some doughnuts with us. Yumm
